The Midland High baseball team also split its Friday TOC slate, falling 1-0 to El Paso Montwood before rebounding to top El Paso Eastwood, 13-10.

Against Montwood, MHS starter Jaxon Hallmark suffered the tough luck loss, as he allowed seven hits and sixth inning solo home run in a complete game defeat. At the plate, he went 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Bulldogs.

Montwood ace Eric Estrada surrendered eight hits and struck out four in the shutout win.

In the second game against Eastwood, Tyler Klattenhoff led MHS by going 1-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and a run scored. The Bulldogs trailed, 6-5 after the first inning but scored three runs in the fifth to take the lead for good.
