Freshman Blue vs Waukesha West

The Mukwonago Indians Freshman refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Waukesha West, recording a 12-2 victory on Thursday at Park View.

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Mukwonago Indians Freshman left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A walk by Alec Benzinger, a groundout by Scott Johnson, and a steal of home by Alec in the first inning and a three-run double by Alec during the second inning fueled the Mukwonago Indians Freshman's offense early.

Alec racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Mukwonago Indians Freshman.

Waukesha West couldn't get anything going as long as Cobie Anderson was pitching. Waukesha West managed just two hits off of the the Mukwonago Indians Freshman's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.

The Mukwonago Indians Freshman added two more runs in the bottom of the third. A wild pitch scored Connor Anonich to start the scoring in the inning.

The Mukwonago Indians Freshman increased their lead with four runs in the fourth. A clutch passed ball scored Alec to open the scoring in the frame.
