Michael Rabb

Position: Head Coach
Email: rabbsocceracademy@gmail.com
Growing up in San Diego, Coach Mike Rabb was a multi Cal-South State Champion with the San Diego Nomads and San Diego Soccer Club. During his youth club years he won over 30 tournaments and leagues with San Diego Villa. He later got involved with the Olympic Development Program and was selected to the State team, worked his way up to the Regional team, and eventually the National Team Pool. Coach Rabb was also a High School CIF Champion, CIF Runner-Up, League MVP, and Pepsi Player Award Winner, and received several All-CIF and All-League honors. He then went to NCAA D-1 Fresno State on a soccer scholarship. At Fresno State, his team was MPSF runner-up against UCLA, and a WAC Champion, making it all the way to the final 8. After Fresno State, Coach Rabb played semi-pro soccer in Germany for Tus Mayen, SG99 Andernach, and Tus Koblenz, participating in over 350 games.

Coach Rabb began his career as a coach when he was just 14 years old, and continued throughout college and in Germany for the different clubs he was apart of. In 2009 Coach Rabb's Soccer Academy signed a 4 year contract with the US Army, Child and Youth Services, CYS-MWR in Kaiserslautern, Germany. With only three children attending the first week, Rabb Soccer Academy turned into what the Chief of MWR, US Army, Family Morale, Welfare, and Recreation called "our showcase program," where over 2,000 kids participated from ages 3-16. Coach Rabb has over 21 years of professional coaching experience in both So-Cal and Europe, has coached over 5,000 kids, and gathered various youth coaching licenses along the way, including a German B license.

Coach Rabb's outlook on the season: "My vision for Linfield soccer is great. I want success as a team and success in each individual that participates. I love to challenge my players to their full extent and potential. I have only seen very little so far and to me it was a large, hungry group of footballers with the want and desire in their eyes to do something. And that is exactly what we're going to do is something...Something great! A new standard of greatness which, in turn, will become the Linfield way. I am very excited and blessed to have landed in the Lions' Den and have never felt more welcomed. This year is only the beginning and I want to build a program from the ground up. I currently have after school classes for the elementary and middle schools. Soon, there will be a Lions Club Soccer Team; a program that would be comparable to a European Type Soccer School, with the intention of greatness continuing through year after year. For those of you who know FC Barcelona, most of their players have been together since they were 12 years old. With this vision and program in place, our players will be together all year every year, with hopes that people in the soccer community will be turning their heads to Linfield Soccer."
